I’m a relative newcomer to growing Swiss chard in my garden. How did I miss this wonderful green vegetable? It nearly grows year-round here in Southern California, and it takes a lot to kill it. I’m slowly, but surely, acquiring an arsenal of chard recipes because it seems the more you pick it, the more it will grow! For the record, most “greens” recipes are inter-changeable. I rarely buy spinach anymore, because Swiss chard does the same duty quite nicely.
